Allstar Electrical Service reports that it’s Stimulus Plan, a marketing effort launched exactly one year ago, resulted in at least 100 projects, large and small, that the Denver-based electrical contractors wouldn’t otherwise have scored in 2009. “That 100 additional projects compares well to President Barack Obama’s 2 million jobs created through the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (AARA) of 2009,” says Gary Stone, founder and president of Allstar Electrical Services.
The Allstar Stimulus Plan, launched in January 2009, promoted the fact that Allstar Electrical would negotiate pricing with potential clients. The willingness to negotiate pricing helped secure 100 jobs that were otherwise on hold because homeowners were feeling the recessionary pinch, says Stone.
“In a recession people carefully vet their discretionary spending, sometimes postponing work that they wouldn’t have thought twice about approving three years ago,” says Allstar founder and owner Gary Stone. “We wanted to come out as the electrical contractor of choice, especially when a small difference in price helped secure that business.”
Allstar Electrical Service has clients throughout the State of Colorado from Wyoming south to New Mexico along the Front Range and on the Western Slope and Rocky Mountain communities too. The electrical contracting company performs commercial and residential electrical repairs and new installation. Allstar works with general contractors and architects and also works directly with customers.
While the AARA is credited with raising employment by 1.5 to 2 million, the Allstar stimulus plan helped maintain employment of Allstar’s smaller team of licensed, bonded and insured electricians, apprentices to master electricians, Stone said, adding, “Keeping our crews employed through tough economic times isn’t always possible, but we’re determined to keep as many of our pro electricians on board, contributing to the overall health of Colorado’s economy.”
