Centennial
Centennial, CO, named for the state’s nickname as The Centennial State because Colorado entered the Union exactly 100 years after its founding, is perhaps the largest least-well known city in the state. After all, it has only been around since 2001 when area residents voted to incorporate – the largest city incorporation in US history – some 27.9 square miles of the formerly unincorporated portion of Arapahoe County.
