Be prepared for high heating bills: electrical company offers winterizing plan

Denver, CO (August, 2008) – In response to an anticipated 44 percent increase in low-income family winter heating bills, Denver’s premier electrical company is encouraging Coloradans to assess their homes’ electrical usage in advance of the winter months.

Gary Stone, president of Allstar Electrical Services, LLC, wants to help customers avoid winter heating problems with a plan that evaluates electrical usage and places customers at the top of the list for emergency service, when the need arises.

“Colorado is facing a massive heating crisis and every homeowner needs to be as energy-efficient as possible,” says Stone. “We want to tackle the heating issue before it becomes a disaster.”

Bishop Phillip Porter, Chairman of Colorado Consumers for Affordable Energy, is asking Governor Bill Ritter and legislative leaders to convene a special legislative session to address the urgent heating situation so that “Colorado’s poor children and senior citizens don’t freeze to death this winter.”

At $95 annually, Allstar’s Winter Security Blanket Customer Service Agreement is affordable insurance against winter discomfort. Not only will Allstar’s electricians fully assess a customer’s home, but should an outage occur, Premium customers will be the first people to have their heat and lights on again.

Long-time customers of Allstar know their service is second to none. Allstar’s staff of fully licensed and insured electricians operates from fully-equipped vans, offering what Stone calls “the latest in technology with old-school quality.” Year-round, for new construction, remodeling or retrofitting, Allstar serves customers from individual homeowners to multi-use high rise buildings.
