Everyone’s aware of the benefits of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, in fact most jurisdictions require them these days. Now you can get alarms that notify you on your cell phone when they detect a problem and let you decide how to handle it. Besides smoke and fume detectors, there are water leak detectors that can alert you to leaks and prevent thousands of dollars’ worth of damage. Prices and features vary widely, so shop wisely.
